Q:Why can't my child wear custom clothes in the natural categories, other pageants allow it?
A:Our pageant believes that all natural contestants must be on a level playing field. That means everyone entered will not have makeup, hair pieces, or even custom clothing. Store bought clothing is required, however alterations may be made for fitting purposes. Custom clothing is a stretch into the the Glitz side of pageantry. If you have custom clothes you should be entered in Glitz. If you would like to compete without all the frills, then natural is for you.
Q: What is Glitz?
A: Glitz is anything that shows your child differently than the way they look everyday. If you choose to wear custom clothing, makeup, tanning, or hair pieces, you are glitz. Glitz style varies from low glitz (custom clothes) to high glitz (all of the above). Each contestant chooses their own level of glitz, however competes as a group. Remember, each contestant is scored individually.
Q:Why do girls under 10 have to wear short dresses?
A: Through research of many pageants, Spotlight Industry realized that girls under the age of 10 had difficulty walking in long dresses. It also overwhelmed the look of such small girls. Therefore, we decided that long dresses would suit the older girls better and give little girls something to grow into.
Q: What if I cannot find a short dress for my daughter?
A: All dresses, Natural or Glitz, should be hemmed to fit your child. If you find a long dress, they can easily be cut and hemmed to become short.
Q: Does each child win an award?
A: All contestants at Spotlight Industry events receive a participation award. At Rising Starz Pageants, all contestants receive a trophy.
Q: Do I have to pre-register? Can just I come to on site registration to enter my child?
A: We would prefer if you pre-registered with your beauty deposit. This reserves a spot for your child in the line up and puts their name and picture in our program book. If you choose to register at on site registration your child will be last in line up, will not be included in the program book, and will be considered an add on. For example, Contestant # 4 A.
Q: Will there be Door Supremes?
A: We will be offering Door Supremes in many of the optional event areas. There is an additional fee for each Door Supreme entered.
Q: What vendors do you have attending?
A: Spotlight Industry Rising Starz Pageant is always look for vendors. If you are interested in being a vendor please contact us. We are currently looking for vendors for our June Pa pageant. We have PM Studios Photography shooting action shots as well as doing photo shoots. If you are interested in a photo shoot please email us. All photos will be able to be purchased the day of the event or at registration for a discounted fee.
Q: Can I add on more Optional Starz Events at registration?
A: Yes, once you are registered in beauty you can add on as many other events as you like, even the day of registration.
